The Artist in the Studio
Sept 16 - Nov 2, 2003
The Artist in the Studio is the exhibition that gives everyone—children and adults—the chance to explore art making, whether it’s drawing with charcoal, painting with watercolors, building a sculpture, or creating a color print. Visitors also can tour the model of a Renaissance Studio for an art history lesson in copying an image by using a grid, or visit a Studio of the Future, to try out drawing and painting on computers.
Artists-in-Residence during this exhibition are present through a cooperative arrangement with Taking the Leap, a professional practices school for working visual artists, located in Emeryville.
