Bedford Gallery, a program of the City of Walnut Creek, also receives substantial support from the Diablo Regional Arts Association.

Bedford Gallery is an elegant and distinctive venue for your upcoming reception, business meeting, cocktail party, or special event. The gallery is a 3,500 sq. feet contemporary art space with soaring ceilings, hardwood floors, and abundant natural light. Located in Walnut Creek’s Lesher Center for the Arts, it is the largest community-based visual arts facility between the Bay Area and Sacramento.

Capacity:
The gallery can accommodate a maximum of 250 guests for your event.* Tables, chairs, technical equipment and services, and security are available. Caterers appreciate the gallery’s spacious preparation area and street-level access.
*Subject to prior approval from the Director. Dependent on type of event and configuration of exhibition.

Exhibitions:
Each year the gallery presents a diverse range of exhibits designed to educate, intrigue, and involve the Bay Area community. Recent highlights include exhibitions of 19th Century Dutch paintings, the fantastical sculptures of artist Joyce Hsu, majestic tapestries from Magnolia Editions, photography from the presidency of John F. Kennedy, and a before and after look at vintage Hot Rods. Planning your event around a specific exhibition connects your guests with the arts, while providing a unique setting for your social or business activities. Accessibility:
The Lesher Center for the Arts is conveniently located near highways 24 and 680, and 4 blocks south of the Walnut Creek BART station. Adjacent to the gallery is a 5 level parking garage. Bedford Gallery is fully wheelchair accessible.

Rates are based on a 3-hour time block. Availability is subject to gallery scheduling. A certificate of liability is required. Gallery and Learning Center must be left in the same condition as found. Catering services are limited to those approved by the Lesher Center.

Rental Restrictions:
Our rental policy forbids decorations, food, or beverage that would endanger the works of art on display in the gallery. No red wines or dark juices may be served; open-flame candles are not allowed.

All tables must be at least 24” from free standing art and gallery walls. Gallery staff reserve the right to alter the table arrangement at any time. Artwork is to be moved by staff members only. An art handling fee may be charged for major changes in exhibition layout.
