Public Art Audio Tour:
There is now an self-guided audio tour available for Public Art in Walnut Creek, featuring 33 stops about the artwork in the downtown area. Look for the pink and orange Public Art signs around town, located by artworks. Dial the number on the signs to hear about that artwork. You can visit the Public Art Walking Tour web app online.
Public Art Walking Tour:
Bedford Gallery offers one hour docent-led walking tours of Walnut Creek's wonderful downtown public art collection every third Saturday, April through November. Our Docents are trained by public art specialists and can offer information and insight appropriate for all ages.
Time: Tours start at 11 a.m. and meets in front of the Lesher Center for the Arts on the plaza. Wear comfortable shoes & sun screen. Tours are approximately 1 hour.
Tour 1: Around the Lesher Center for the Arts, City Hall, and Civic Park.
Tour 2: Plaza Escuela & shopping areas (Locust, Plaza Escuela, and California Blvd.)
Tour 3: Around the Business parks near the Walnut Creek BART station, California Blvd and North Main Street (involves stairs).
Tour 4: Downtown Main St. and Library

Special Group Public Art Tours
Group tours of the artwork in the Walnut Creek Library or any of the above Public Art Walking routes are also available for groups of 15 or more, by reservation only.
Cost: $70 for adult groups up to 30.
