Applications will open in August 2026.

In the application, you will be asked to provide a link to a website or online source where we can view your work (i.e. Etsy, Instagram, vendor website, etc.). We will only consider vendors with a website or online source. Vendors who submit images of goods instead of a website or online source will not be considered. Applications submitted after the deadline will not be considered.

• How your items fit within the overall vision of Craft Fest: handmade, local, high quality, affordable.
• The overall cohesiveness and consistency of your work.
• How your items are represented on your website, Instagram, Etsy page, and/or another online platform.
• For returning vendors, we pay close attention to how your work has progressed since participating in, or applying to, past Craft Fests. We’re looking to see whether you’ve produced new items or designs, so we can keep Craft Fest fresh and exciting for shoppers. Past vendors are not guaranteed a spot at subsequent Craft Fests.
• The number and diversity of designs or products you offer. We seek makers offering a well-cultivated line of goods, or who specialize in one type of product offered in a variety of styles.
• If the average price of your items falls inside what is typical at Craft Fest. We pride ourselves on being an affordable marketplace for handmade goods with prices typically ranging between $1-$200.
• Our need to diversify the crafts available at Craft Fest. We have limited space available and as a result will only be able to take a certain number of vendors from each category, i.e. art, women’s/men’s clothing and accessories, children’s clothing and accessories, bath and body, paper goods, ceramics, jewelry, housewares, and artisanal foods (see additional info for food vendors).

Your fee pays for your table rental and two chairs. In addition, everyone will receive an icon and link on our website. Participants who supply us with high quality images and information may also be featured on our social media accounts leading up to and during the fair. Once you have paid your table fee, you will be sent an information checklist that includes items to provide, like high resolution images (72ppi).

We always advertise and promote Craft Fest and draw hundreds of attendees to the event who will see your work in person. This often turns into other opportunities, including future sales, wholesale opportunities, media exposure, networking, and more.

To be considerate and fair to all vendors, we offer everyone the same amount of display space. This includes the 6' width and 30” depth of the table, plus a few feet behind the table for vendors to sit/stand. There is 2' on either side of each table for ingress/egress that is shared with fellow vendors; it cannot be dedicated to just one vendor. We require that the space in front of all tables remains clear for visitors to circulate in the bustling gallery space. Vendors may bring displays to put on top of their tables and are responsible for supplying their own display items. Displays cannot hang on the walls or impede safe foot traffic.

Wi-Fi and electrical outlets are available for free. However, we need to know if you will need an outlet for your products in advance to design the floorplan accordingly.

New This Year: Walnut Creek Business License Requirement

All vendors invited to participate in Craft Fest 2026 are required to obtain a City of Walnut Creek business license, regardless of whether their business is located in Walnut Creek or another city. Please do not apply for a business license when submitting your Craft Fest application. Business licenses are only required after vendors have been invited to participate in Craft Fest 2026.

Other Licenses or Permits

You are responsible for registering your small business with the State of California and the IRS and collecting sales tax for the items you’re selling. When tax time comes around, you’ll have to pay income tax on all the items you sell and pay sales tax to CA. We recommend that you call California’s Department of Revenue and the IRS for more info. Vendors selling packaged food products (including baked goods, chocolates, candies, jams, and other edible items) must comply with all applicable California and Contra Costa County food safety regulations. Vendors must have proof of a valid Cottage Food Operation registration/permit or commercial health permit, as applicable.
